While we were on our 'roadtrip' 2 weeks ago, I tried my 1st ever CRAB CAKES. . .We were in Sturgis, SD, (small town famous for it's bike rally in August) otherwise sort of a sleepy little town! Someone told us to go try a resturant called JAMBONZ PUB & GRILL. . .They had several southern dishes on the menu, so we decided on crab cakes. . .I've heard Oprah rave about crab cakes on her show so I wanted to try them, and I'll have to say they were pretty tasty. . .Now I would love to get a recipe for them, if anyone has a 'tried and true' crab cakes recipe, and is willing to share, let me know!!! Have a great 'FOODIE FRIDAY', and a fun weekend!
I love crab cakes.. I have tried a few recipes... but would love to hear from you if anyone ha a good one to try! Happy Foodie Friday! Have a great weekend ~ Susan
ReplyDeleteI also love crab cakes but don't have a good recipe, please share if you find some!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a recipe, but I'm headed to Annapolis, MD, tomorrow, which is probably the crab cake capital of the universe. Frankly, I've never had bad crab cakes. If you liked crab cakes in Sturgis, SD, you would probably absolutely love some true Maryland Crab Cakes. I've never tried making them myself.
ReplyDeleteI don't have one good enough to pass on. I had the ultimate crabcake in Baltimore at least 20 years ago. I swear it had no detectable filler. I've been spoiled ever since. I've had no success trying to duplicate it. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteCool Road Trip! I've been through there in the 1980's and I would love to get Jacob there - hopefully this summer. Isn't it funny that you had a crabcake in the middle of the country not even remotely close to any coast. ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteYou would expect 'road kill cakes' or maybe buffalo jerky, or something gross, in the west. But they were good maybe they would be even better if would go south for them!
ReplyDeleteI love crab cakes also:) So if you get a good recipe please share. I have ordered them out and have always been very pleased. You might find a good one on the Food Network.
