Mosaic Monday/Outdoor Wednesday. . .'Aim for the Stars'

When I was a little girl,
Grandma Stella taught us to make 'hollyhock dolls' with flowers from
her garden!

"Aim for the stars, and maybe you'll reach the sky!

I like this quote, but not really sure who
the author is.
Enjoy the rest of your summer . . .

  1. Very pretty shots. Those beautiful flowers sure do look like they're aiming high :)

  2. Yes, I'm enjoying these, they have such vibrant colors. Have a great end of summer.

  3. BEAUTIFUL! The elk ate my hollyhocks so thanks for sharing yours.

  4. Just popped in to say "thanks" for the recommendation of Root & Bloom. You are the second person to suggest it & I had not heard of it before. I have it on my shopping list.

For some strange reason, I cannot see your photo on this post. ??? I noticed that LOTS of places in blog land have lost photos this week. Several of my favorite people no longer have their headers in place. I had to upload a few of my sidebar photos, too. Some glitch, I'm sure.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by The Gazebo House. I'll come back later to try to see your flowers.

  5. A perfect quote for the mosaci. The hollyhocks are so tall. Enjoy your week.

  6. Beautiful mosaic. I love the background on your blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

  7. Beautiful, simply beautiful, and I love the quote. How special that your grandmother taught you how to make the Hollyhock doll.Thank you for sharing.

  8. Beautiful....I think next year I am going to have to plant some Hollyhocks!
