Tulip Heaven. . .Outdoor Wednesday

Hubby sent these pictures the other day!
I think he was trying to cheer me up,
cause we still have at least a foot of snow on the ground!
These photos were taken of the tulip farms
in the Netherlands in May!
B E A U T I F U L
(The photos were sent to us via email, so I'm not sure who to credit for them)
Over 3 billion tulips are grown each year.
They harvest and ship about 2/3 of the crop,
mostly to the US and Germany.
Then they gather the bulbs to sell.
What a sight. . .

  5. It is hard to vision there is a field of tulips somewhere in this world. I would give anything to see sights like this. I did so enjoy your letting me get a glimpse of this beautiful place throuh your lens.

  6. What a cheerful job that would seem to be! I'm sure it gets hard and back breaking like many farming type jobs. But it's just so beautiful!! What a sight!!

  8. I love all the tulips! I remember them to fondly growing up in the midwest...unfortunately they do not grow in the desert, so I have enjoyed them through your post! Thank you!

  9. That last shot, is truly unbelievable! I live in Washington state and we have a county south of me that is known for it's tulip's as well. They have a large festival every April when they're in bloom... can hardly wait now.
